This is a great looking bowl with top quality sound. It has a chocolate brown exterior with evident hammer marks outside set off by a silky smooth burnished silver interior. The thick inner facing rim is bright and worn smooth while the markings on the outside are strong and clear. You can see superficial cracks both inside and as part of the original construction outside. The long lasting main tone is at the high end for Jambati bowls. What is hardest to convey with this bowl is the character of the sound it makes. Rather than pick it apart I’ll say it has a quality which almost sounds like a word. Medium Nepali mallet M111.
