At almost 12 inches and over five pounds this is close to the top size for an antique Jambati. It has a light, silvery color with circular striations inside which is evidence of harsh cleaning. Clear outer and some inside lines with an inner facing rim. ½” crack where the bowl begins to rise (very difficult to see with no evidence in the sound or else I would not sell it). Played with the Large Nepali mallet N103 this bowl has a long lasting deep tone and a very deep undertone. Musser mallet M204 brings out some higher tones. The tones are consistent throughout the life of the sound. Easy to play with either end of the large ringing stick, N103. Based on sound and size this would be a $1000 bowl if it were not for the cosmetic flaws. Item # 1038
