Sound Clip: Mallet M209
Extremely impressive looking bowl with unique tones to match. Despite the evidence of hammer marks in the coloration both inside and out this bowl is sharp and symmetrical. This bowl has the unstained ancient patina befitting a ritual object. The interior, exterior and rim lines are strong and clear. The inward taper at the top is offset by an outward facing lip. Very large and tall lingham with a clean matching underside navel. Superb example of the highest form of singing bowl craftsmanship.
Excellent multiple tones with warbling. Plays well with the full range of mallet hardness’s. You could buy six professional mallets with this bowl and discern a different and pleasing sound with each. Even though it tones well, I would avoid playing this bowl with a stick due to the delicate incuse line at the outer edge of the rim.
