6136 Smooth Antique Mani Singing Bowl with excellent overtone sustain
Mani with lots of evidence of use and original patina. It has a bright spot in the bottom of the bowl, a scratch from recent use. This relatively small Mani has an oversized soundscape with two strong tones each oscillating at different rates. Both pulses are strong, quiet then loud again with the lower note a slower flutter. Unlike many Mani bowls the overtone on this one persists well into the sustain. Sustain is excellent, as good as you get in a Mani. Plays well off the rim with wood, more smoothly with the massive yew wand. With overtones at F#6, E7.
