6093 Antique Mani Singing Bowl with incredibly penetrating high pitch

Mani with smoky patina and an extra broad rim. This very old bowl has deeply incuse lines but age has worn away those on the inside except for a clear god’s eye. Unique looking bowl with its more upright stature. The bowl is quite high pitched and sings with a regular rapid flutter. It has the quality of increasing in volume for the first few seconds after the strike, you can hear it in the recording. This bowl, possibly because of its unusual shape, has a haunting hollow sound. The flutter adds to the ghost like quality. Sustain is good.  Once you get the bowl going with a stick you can take it in different directions with nice follow through from the sustain. With overtones at D7 and G8
