8102 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with woo-woo sustain

Larger Manipuri with vestiges of extensive artwork such as rim punches and inner circles. Dark brassy patina. After the initial strike, sound begins to settle down three sustaining tones fall into a very regular soft and louder pulse or woo-woo. First it is the primary tone pulsing, then the overtone. Quite interesting. Easy stick bowl, play with leather wood or wands. Nice clean high with the wands (recording 2) With overtones at D5, C#6, A6, .
