8302 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with complex serenity and great rim play

Plain Manipuri with beautiful creamy patina. The bowl is on the thick side of average with all the features worn smooth. The sound is as smooth as the bowl with clear tones that either slowly change in volume or maintain their strength. It is not a coincidence that an old bowl worn smooth would sound this mellow. Sustain is good. Plays wonderfully off the rim. With a big ringing stick you can play the bass, with any size stick the main tone and with a wand multiple layers of high overtones. With overtones at A5, G#6.
