8398 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with simple harmonious soundscape

Double rim Manipuri worn smooth with use. Coloration is a bit on the dark side. Simple three tone soundscape starting with a relatively high strike for this size bowl. The middle tone, G5, has a moderately strong rush and fade while the other tones are much more mellow in their oscillations. Sustain is fair. Takes a bit to move it, but once you get it going with a ringing stick it is easy to control the sound. No wand play. With overtones at G5, F6, , .
