8565 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with simple balanced soundscape

Brassy colored Manipuri worn smooth and soft to the touch. Fundamentally a three note bowl, this manipuri features excellent balance between the tones. The strike tone is active, moderately fast oscillations while the first overtone, the one most prominent is fairly steady. Second strongest overtone at 1080 Hz is exactly twoce the primary overtone at 901 Hz, the subtle underlying cause of the bowls balance. Sustain is ok. Only a fiar stick bowl, though once you get it going and lift off the bowl youwill have some nice follow through. With overtones at A5, D#6, A6, .
