8578 Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with complex evolving soundscape

Manipuri with clear artwork including a full set of inside and rim circles and a central five pointed star Clear brassy patina. Harmonious soundscape with a rapidly changing mix of tones each with their distinct pulses. Exceptional texture to the sound, a bowl with a lot of presence in part due to a dozen notes under 3500 Hz. Longevity is very good. Rim play is just great. Comes up easily, the kind of bowl you can just go around and around with. If you press it has the potential for tremendous volume. With overtones at D#4, D6, A6, E7.
