8624 Extra Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with simple high notes

Brassy colored, extra thick Manipuri with a double rim and two inner circles. The artist decided to add a row of extra deep hammermarks to the outside and put a matching double row of lines in the smooth interior. Pure G5 primary tone, very high for a Manipuri with a clear C#6 overtone. The soundscape is relatively simple. Longevity is good. No rim play due to the sharp edge of a bowl that has seen little use. With overtones at C#6, C7.
