Simple Manipuri with vestiges of extensive artwork on the outside. Bright brassy color. Harmonious soundscape with highly responsive tones. You can make the bowl sing bright and brassy or low and smooth. However you start, you’ll end with a long lasting flutter. Plays great off the rim, with leather you can get the soft low but what really shines is the overtone, strong, clear and long lasting. Next ovberone up also plays easily with a smaller stick. With overtones at D#5, D6, A#6.
