8779 Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with high frequency flutters

Very thick Manipuri bright in color with two faded circles in the bottom of the bowl. The bowl has a smooth interior and some hammermarks outside. Very sweet and high soundscape with a pair of high frequency flutters. Good balance in the simplicity. Very good sustain, especially for a small thick bowl. You rarely find a Manipuri with such a high strike tone. Not much play off the sharp rim, just a bit with simple wood. Definitely a bowl for a high tone mallet. With overtones at B5, A#7.
