8835 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with alto singing and fluttering

Brassy Manipuri with worn punch circles inside and on the rim. Outside is the classic circle and leaf design. A very high sounding bowl where the already high 4th octave strike tone is a subtle background presence while the 5th and 6th octave overtones flutter and sing respectively. Sustain is ok with the flutter lasting to the end. The rim is smooth and even so you can play it with a simple stick. It is with a kingwood wand that you can tease out that powerful very high and ultra high overtones, end recording 2. With overtones at A#5, A6, F7.
