8840 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with emerging powerful high

Manipuri with clear punch circles in the bottom of the bowl and worn ones on the rim. Bright brassy color throughout. Fluttering soundscape featuring a close to 220 Hz low and fluttering notes above. The overtones unwrap with excellent volume but quickly die down. A cacaphanous bowl while it lasts. Plays ok off the rim with simple wood, just one tone. No wand play. With overtones at C#5, D#6, B6.
