8848 Tiny Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with steady complexity

Manipuri with clear artwork including a full set of inside and rim circles and a central star pattern. The smoky brass color is unusual but consistent. Complex soundscape with mostly steady tones to start out with though the longest tone does pulse in intensity. Still a very good bowl for a peaceful practice. Sustain is good, that last little overtone will go out 30 seconds. Bowl mellows well with a soft mallet. Rim play is fair, one note only stick or wand. There is an irregularity in the side of the bowl that shows up as a tap each time around the bowl. See if you can hear it in recording 2. With overtone at B5.
