9849 Richly Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with bright brassy sound

Spectacular looking Manipuri with full and clear etching inside, out and along the rim. A rare bowl dressed up like a lingam in an excellent state of preservation. Bright and brassy sound, quite high for a Manipuri. The bowl is powerful, big volume if you tap it hard. Harmony is good so the bright tones hang together well. Longevity is very good, especially if you get ti going with a strong push. Rim play is non-existent due to a sharp edge. With overtones at C6, B6, F#7.
