8532 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with complex satisfying soundscape

Bright flange rim Manipuri with smooth interior and some nice but worn exterior artwork. A complex initial soundscape narrows down to the three main tones. They are well apportioned, separated by pleasing intervals and all loud enough to hear individually simultaneously. Even the beats in this bowl work together. Very good sustain. Good bowl to paly with the wood side of a large ringing stick, it gets going fast and the overtone sustains. Just ok with leather, not good for wands. With overtones at E5, E6, , .
