2489 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with visceral flutter

Thadobati with creamy patina and lots of clear but worn artwork. The bowl is a pleasing rounded shape, solid and heavy. All the energy in this bowl seems to go to feed a powerful primary tone flutter. It is visceral, you can feel it in your hand, quite unusual for a bowl only five inches across. This is not a one tone bowl, there is a main overtone and a brief moment where you hear a high overtone. The pulse carries on for a good period of time. Rim play is extremely unusual with the primary tone playing with wood. Just goes to show how powerful the primary tone is. With overtones at C6, B6, F#7, F#5.
