3488 Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with slow pulsing tones

Half price bowl. Large Thadobati with dark hammermark pattern patina. Sonorous soundscape with slow pulsing tones. When struck hard ther is a two second rattle caused by a crack in the side wall (second half recording 1). Nice sound otherwise, and the rattle can be avoided by softer play. Smooth rim provides good leather play, the bass is pure, the overtone can be pushed to hear the crack. Great price for a handsome large bowl with a managable sonic flaw. With overtones at B4, A#5, F#6.
