2559 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a high tone “cool” soundscape

Extra thick circle pattern Thadobati with original patina. This old style bowl has a wide rim with double incuse lines. Very heavy for its size. After a bit of initial jumpiness, the bowl’s solid high strike tone and a solid fleeting overtone give it the unusual combination of high pitched bowl with a “cool” soundscape. Longevity is good with mallets, though that does not extend to sticks. With wood you can isolate the primary and main overtones, though not that loudly. With overtones at F#6, B6.
