3401 Rare Large Heavy Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with extensive artwork

Rare extra thick large Thadobati bowl. The bowl has a broad double incuse rim and is close to Bhutani style with intricate exterior rim work. The ticks and lines outside are in good condition. There is a tremendous amount of original craftwork in this bowl. Brassy patina with green copper tarnish in the deeply incuse areas. A fairly simple soundscape anchored by a near perfect 875-879 Hz A5 overtone. Solid and strong main tone with good sustain. A very powerful where you can bring the volume to as loud as you can bear when played with a stick or massive wand. A unique combination of art and power. With overtones at A5, G#6.
