3429 Polished Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a fiery golden color
Long ago polished large thadobati with a fiery golden color. The bowl features external punch circles, thick rim and worn interior god’s eye. This is a bowl that glows with quiet intensity. It has a quiet sound to match, a short lived strike tone and a fairly short lived low overtone. The timbre of the sound is unusual, it seems to be turned inward. It is a very nice bowl to tap and tap again. That elusive low is readily available through the leather side of the ringing stick. You can run the sound around the rim as long as you want. For the high note you need wood, the smaller the better though all woods are a bit scratchy until you get the bowl’s volume up to cover it. With overtones at G5, F#6.
