9820 Antique Trapezoid Singing Bowl with haunting hollow sound

Unique rounded trapezoidal bowl with original patina. The worn artwork and smooth feel indicate a significant period of use. The outward facing rim is less broad from wear. This style bowl has a unique soundscape, simple but profound. A penetrating very high fundamental tone backed by a single fleeting overtone. Exceptional balance between the tones, providing clean sonic coherence. Standard short sustain for this style. Impressive bowl for multiple taps, second half recording 2. You can build on the sharp fundamental tone successively. Around the rim you can get very good sound with a soft yew wand. With overtone at D#7.
