Rare Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with metallic timbre #1481
1481 Rare Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with metallic timbre #1481
1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wand |
Rare thin broad rimmed Jambati with clear artwork. This unusual style bowl has a different metallic composition than most. The craftsmanship is so fine and even you can barely see a hammermark. The bowl has a clangy metallic timbre, similar to that of a ship’s bell. Its the type of a sound you either love or don’t. Sustain is ok, the bowl itself can be struck firmly for more longevity but that can get pretty loud. Rim play is really interesting. Smooth and easy with leather, with a hard massive want you get this almost haunting overtone. Spectacular sustain off the rim. A rare and special bowl. With overtone at G#4.
