Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with pulsing low and swirling high
1248 Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with pulsing low and swirling high
Jambati with exterior relief artwork and muted hammermarks. The bowl has a broad rim and two thin inner circles. A powerful slowly pulsing strike tone dominates the soundscape of Jambati. The overtones are there, especially a rapidly oscillating C#5, however they fade more quickly than the strike. Very good longevity. Played with leather it is easy to get the bass going around the rim. With wood the massive soft yew wand brings out that overtone with spectacular longevity. With overtones at C4, C#5, G5. Overtone: Middle C – A432 Scale – 256 Hz.
