Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with deep bass and spectacular longevity

1398 Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with deep bass and spectacular longevity

Large very thick Jambati with clear hammermarks, golden patina and the slightest amount of worn art. This is a bowl that has seen a lot of use with the hand wear being an important contributor to the excellent sound. Deep visceral bass that pumps a couple of times a second, this bowl puts a lot of energy into your hand along with a much less energetic yet very well balanced overtone. Spectacular longevity, premium harmony. The rim has an almost ethereal quality when played for the overtone with leather. It seems fairly routine when spinning it up but once you lift off the rim – wow. Just listen to the half minute sustain at the front of recording 2. It is a unique blend of overtones 1 and 2, no bass. Then the second half of that recording, overtones 2 and 3 with the massive wand – totally different. Exceptional rim play and amazing interplay between overtone 1 and 2. With overtones at D#4, D5, D6.
