Smooth Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with matching oscillations
1422 Smooth Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with matching oscillations
1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wand
Brassy colored Jambati, absolutely smooth to the touch. While there isn’t a trace of art I suspect at one time this bowl had a proper set of inner circles.
Deep strike tone and primary overtone that both flutter with a similar pattern. Both notes keep their relationship throughout the fairly good sustain. Spectacular off he rim. The bowl picks up energy when you spin it with leather and after you let off it continues to build. I had to discard multiple recordings because the bowl went into oversaturation seconds after I let it go. In contrast to mallet play the rim produces a slow and smooth tone. With a big wand or even simple wood you can get the highs off the rim With overtones at C#4, C#5, G#5.
