Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with deep premium sound and great sustain
1432 Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with deep premium sound and great sustain
1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wandlll |
Incredibly heavy but in a way also thin Jambati bowl. It is smooth from wear, just a trace of a single external line is visible. Inside is some hammermark patina. This large bowl has simple construction and significant use. Very deep fundamental tone with a rapid pulse playing below a solid next note up. A bowl with visceral power, that deep note is palpable as it goes soft and comes back loud. Excellent sustain and premium harmony. Overtone centric off the rim it spins an almost mournful wail, deep and variable. A massive wand plays a possibly more cherry higher soundscape augmented by an upbeat flutter. Excellent rim sustain, especially with leather. With overtones at B3, B4, G5, C#6.
