Large Extra Thick Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with incredible sustain

1450 Large Extra Thick Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with incredible sustain

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand

Large extra thick Jambati with a wide open shape, flat bottom and hammermark patina outside. Inside the bowl glows warmly, a look you can only get from years of polishing. The bowl is extra thick now, was even thicker before as all the inner etching is gone. The kind of sustain that lasts minutes makes this bowl exceptional. It takes a rare combination of thickness and sonic efficiency for a bowl to go this long. The primary tone is on the high side for Jambati, especially really big ones. The overtones are strong and many. Over 5 Lbs. the bowl is a lot to hold in your hand, fortunately the flat bottom is very stable and a light tap will send the bowl off. Off the rim it plays the bass smoothly with leather. If you want, the high a yew wand is better than a simple stick but both are a bit raspy With overtones at G#4, G5, D#6, A#6.
