Thin Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with 1-2-3-4-repeating pattern
1568 Thin Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with 1-2-3-4-repeating pattern
Simple thin Jambati with all artwork worn away. Despite the bright color this is a very old bowl as evidenced by the still visible worn hammermarks. Stunning soundscape with a complex repeating pattern of overtone oscillations that almost seem like they are speaking. Listen closely and you can hear the 1-2-3-4-repeat pattern, wow!. Really unique sound that stands on a low fundamental and plays fervently above it. Premium harmony, excellent longevity. Great off the rim, that primary tone that is a background player with a mallet is strong with a leather stick. The complexity of the overtones play with sticks and wands alike, you could buy a range of implements to plumb the soundscape of this one. With overtone at E4.
