Thick Polished Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with pleasing overtones #1604
1604 Thick Polished Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with pleasing overtones #1604
1. N77 XL Nepal Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand |
Thick and heavy Jambati that was polished to a mirror finish long ago. Inside it is bright with some patches of color, outside it is dark hammermarks over a field of light. Wonderful effect. After a quick first impression of pleasing overtones this bowl drops into a pure bass. The soundscape is more like a crystal bowl than an antique hand hammered brass one. The artisan left hammermarks around the rim so making good contact is challenging. Still you can play the bass or overtone off the rim. With overtones at F#4, F#5, G#6.
