Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with luttering high over a peaceful bass
1608 Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with luttering high over a peaceful bass
1. N55 Large Nepal Mallet followed by L 2 single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather low then overtone
Large Jambati with black and gold coloring. The outside of the bowl, with the exception of the etching at the top, is black. The entire interior, except for a band around the top, is gold. That black top band are has hammermarks while the rest is smooth. Spectacular example of the lost singing bowl art. Fluttering high over a deep rather peaceful A2 112 Hz primary tone (the sharp side of A432). The overtone can be played with a harder mallet. Harmony is premium, however sustain is weak (which for a big bowl is still half a minute) . If you like that main tone it comes on very strongly off the rim and you can keep it going indefinitely that way. Fine grip for playing next high up with leather. With overtones at F4, F5, C#6, G6.
