1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Tulipwood Wand |
Small Jambati with an English language inscription K.M. P. The inscription was added well after the bowls was made as the original etching is worn and the inscription sharp. Nice original patina. Fast pulsing bass tone under an active set of overtones. The main overtone and bass play throughout the fine sustain. Off the rim the bowl’s nature is to go for the overtone. In the recording you can hear a bit of the bass then the overtone powerfully pushed by leather. The bowl is compact enough that the overtones, surprisingly 2 and 3 sing well with a tulipwood wand, not so pretty to start but satisfying in the sustain. With overtones at F#4, F#5, D6, G#6.
