1701 Large Antique Jambati Singing Bowl harmonic pulsing bass #1701
1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wand |
Large and substantial Jambati, bowls that are almost 5 Lbs. and under 11 inches are rare. It has dark multi-colored patina with prominent hammermarks. There is an old two line inscription and some faint interior etching. Solid overtone that is overtaken by a more rapidly pulsing bass later on in the sustain. Lots of power in this almost 5 Lb. bowl. Spectacular rim play. Easy and fast to play purely the bass, just as easy to spin the overtone – both with leather. With a massive wand even higher tones can be spun out, 1000 Hz from an under 100Hz bowl. Wow!. With overtones at C4, C5, C6.
