Exceptional Very Large and Thick 5LB Antique Jambati Singing Bowl #1709

1709 Exceptional Very Large and Thick 5LB Antique Jambati Singing Bowl #1709
1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by FP Massive Yew Wand second overtone |
Large thick and heavy Jambati with low walls. This 5 LB bowl has a dark, brooding completion and worn etching. Rich bell like start with a swirling overtone and pulsing bass. The longevity on the bowl is astounding, exceptional. When recording it I just let it run out for a full minute, at the end of which it was still pouring out the volume – and this is with the light ap I use to avoid distortion. Just amazing. Rim play is also exceptional, not only does the bowl have the same spectacular sustain but it also is easy to tease out the first three notes, smoothly and even more surprisingly the second overtone with a massive wand. I don’t know what the formula is in this old bowl but I’d love to be able to replicate it’s ,magic. Exceptional. With overtones at G4, F#5, D6, G#6.
