Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with Gentle deep fluttering bass #1737
1737 Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with Gentle deep fluttering bass #1737
1. N55 Large Nepali Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone |
Simple Jambati with hammermarks and dark multi-colored patina. Gentle soundscape deep fluttering bass and subtle overtone,. The overtone fades leaving the deep bass as the touchstone. Great leather rim play. The low bass tone comes up easily. It is so deep the pure bass is visceral. The rim has the right amount of roughness so leather can spin the overtones easily with big volume. The recording has two layers of overtone sound with leather which is sort of a bonus with the bowl. Don’t even think about trying to get sound out of the rim with wood. With overtones at C4, B4. Overtone: Middle C – A440 Scale – 261 Hz.
