Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with solid bass and fluttering overtone #1740
1740 Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with solid bass and fluttering overtone #1740
1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by FP Massive Yew Wand |
Simple Jambati with prominent hammermarks inside and out. The bowl was originally colored black outside and part way down inside but use has worn off most of the coloration. Solid bass and fluttering overtone in a sing song soundscape. Good longevity and harmony. Great rim play, the almost pure bass comes up quickly and easily with leather. Leather also can spin out the surprisingly strong overtone, massive yew wand for a bit more overtone. Great rim sustain. With overtones at F4, F5, G6, F7.
