Thick Polished Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with slowly pulsing bass #1746
1746 Thick Polished Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with slowly pulsing bass #1746
1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet followed by L 2 single taps. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone |
Thick long ago polished Jambati with faint hints of etching. There is lots of copper tarnish mixed with the mirror like surface. Deep toned bowl, an exact A2 110 Hz, with a very slowly oscillating bass. When played with a higher mallet overtones start out and are quickly subsumed by the bass. Less than average longevity. Nice pure bass with leather and strong overtone with same side, more pressure. The same grip that makes leather sing easily makes wood noisy. With overtones at D#4, D#5. Perfect A2 – 110 Hz.
