Large Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with Intense oscillating high #1755

1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wand

Thick Jambati with a rare rolled and crushed rim. The etching has been worn away over time. The bottom of the bowl is unusually flat making it a very stable singer. Inside someone has scratched it, likely long ago overzealous cleaning now again muted with patina. Intensely oscillating very high fundamental tone which flips back and forth between volume levels with just hints of the next overtone. Good harmony and longevity, the soundscape is quite solid, about the same at the end of the sustain as the beginning. Excellent rim play. Very easy to spin out the pure fundamental with the leather side of a simple ringing stick. Overtone plays easily with intensity using the same side of the stick with firmer technique. A burnished massive wood wand will also play overtones, easily and smoothly. With overtones at C#5, D6.
