Large extra thick Jambati with classical etching and a wide rim. The bowl has clean hammermark and is bright and clean, almost polished. Smooth and even soundscape with a slowly pulsing bass and a slightly more active but still quite mellow overtone. The sustain is spectacular, you can hear how little drop off there is in volume in the 30 second recording. Fine rim play, strong and easy pure bass with leather. Overtones are a bit harder to tease out with leather. With wood, just great – spectacular rim sustain in parallel with that of a mallet. With overtone at E4. Perfect A2 (432 Hz Scale) – 108 Hz.
