Simple Jambati with prominent hammermarks and a bit of thin etching. The color is brassy inside and a bit darker out. Super deep tone bowl at 75 Hz it is near the bottom of the Jambati range. Fine harmony with some overtone activity. Good longevity. This is a sturdy bowl where you can see the rim shake which gives it visceral power, sound you can feel. Rim play is good, lots of easy volume but pure bass with leather is elusive. Very different sounds off the rim with different ringers and techniques. What is unusual about this bowl is the arrangement of frequencies. The bass is 74.5 Hz, main overtone is a perfect 220 Hz, second overtone with leather is 440 Hz what you might expect, with wood however it drops to 432 Hz. fine rare super deep tone bowl. With overtones at A3, A4. Overtone: Perfect A3 – 220 Hz.
