Large Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with complex and active soundscape #1864
1864 Large Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with complex and active soundscape #1864
1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wand |
Simple open shaped Jambati with inconsistent patina. There are traces of artwork inside and out. Complex and active soundscape, three distinct tones all gently active. Most audible is the primary overtone. The second overtone, subtle with the low mallet entirely disappears with the extra low. Longevity is fair, harmony good. Fine rim play, easy to spin to volume, even the massive wand. The bowl tends to multiple tones, low predominant or overtone predominant with leather depending on technique or 3 tones with lathe massive wand. With overtones at G4, G5. Solfeggio – UT 396 Hz Overtone.
