Exceptional Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with solid high pitched tones #1869

1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone

Unusual thick very old Jambati style. The bowl has deeply etched lines and what is essentially a broad crushed rim, very rare in this style. The coloration is a creamy patina, cleaned but not scoured. On the bottom both Inside and out are long cracks. Due to the thickness of the metal they do not go fully through. They are In a non sonic zone, that is unlikely to ever be audible.

Incredibly solid high pitched soundscape, the tones come across with outstanding power, rare in both frequency and oscillation pattern. This is a bowl to carry you along, very special. Longevity is very good, harmony premium. Some bowls have a message and this is one of them.

With leather you can sing the rolling bass, with more effort in leather or with wood the overtone, however individually these tones don’t have the impact of mallet play. In this case the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts. Exceptional. With overtone at E5.
