Larger Jambati with really rich dark patina, a beautiful example of what can happen to the surface of a bowl over time. This is a classically shaped bowl with a wide inner facing rim and worn artwork. Peaceful gently pulsing soundscape almost exclusively focused on the fundamental tone. Longevity is excellent, harmony is premium. This large bowl carries super rare double solfeggio frequency, 173.5 on the fundamental and 525 Hz on the overtone. Early in the sustain you can hear a higher frequency discontinuous note which washes out after a few seconds. Powerful rim play, nice and smooth with leather which is all you need. Bass is pure and comes to volume quickly and easily. Strongly applied leather plays the overtone where a sharp ear will perceive the higher out of place note for a second or two. Excellent rim longevity. Great value for a large, old classical style Jambati – marked down for being a bit less than perfect. With overtone at A#4.
