Unique Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with that was patched years ago #1873

Absolutely amazing extra thick large Jambati that was repaired many years ago. It has what is a patch, rectangles of metal hammered into place inside and outside the bowl. Inner and interior patches are both different, even down to the number of rivets – which are nicely spaced. The rest of this super thick bowl is a wide open Jambati with exterior etching and a broad inner facing rim. Absolutely a one of a kind “Museum” piece.

Smooth soundscape with a pulsing bass tempered by a solid 432 Hz overtone. Excellent sustain and premium harmony. Spectacular rim play, just the right amount of patina to give leather a good grip for an easy pure tones, either fundamental or overtone. Excellent soundscape, but exceptional in its ancient repair.
