Large Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with Initial strong overtone #1877

1. N33Medium Nepali Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play:

Simple dark Jambati, lots of hammermarks and original patina with a pair of faint inner lines peering through. Two tone soundscape, initially with an overtone so strong you barely hear the fundamental. Over time the roles reverse to the point where the bass is the only note you hear. Fair harmony and sustain. A simple leather wrapped ringing sticks are all you need for rim play. Bass with a light touch large size, intense overtone with pressure. If so inclined you can spin a C6 overtone off the rim with a simple $4 ringing stick. A fine price for a low octave C. With overtones at F#4, B4, F#5, C6. The third overtone is near Solfeggio Sol tone.
