XL X Thick Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with subtle sonic discontinuity #1901

1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather

Large very thick Jambati with deep hand etching and a decorated broad rim. The bowl has rich hammermark patina, almost smoky outside.

Very smooth and steady soundscape, almost a pure tone when played with a very low tone mallet. Harmony is premium and sustain outstanding. There is a subtle discontinuity in the soundscape, too subtle to actually pick up on the recording.

The fundamental tone plays ok with leather, the rim is a bit sharp for satisfying wood play. Marked down to a great price for a large almost 5 pound bowl that would be rated exceptional otherwise. With overtones at A#4, A#5.
