Large Thick Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with exceptional deep tone #1935

1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N108 Huge Leather Ringer leather

Huge thick Jambati 13 1/2 inches and almost 8 Lbs. The bowl has no remaining etching and is very dark in color with some dark green copper haze.

Incredibly powerful deep toned soundscape. Unlike some large thick bowls this one has a deep tone and outstanding sustain, no sharp drop off so a gradually receding volume that takes well over a minute. The tonal arrangement is slow and steady, which gives the sound a penetrating quality.

To play the rim it requires a super heavy ringer. With that support the bowl will slowly and smoothly come to volume, just singing the bass tone. As you continue to spin the volume builds to as intense as you want it. When you let off the bowl, just like with a mallet, slowly loses volume. The difference between a mallet and the ringer is that the mallet will always play some overtone while the ringer spins more sonic purity. This is an exceptional bowl, a rare find in 2024, not only for the size and weight but for the sonics… With overtones at D4, C#5.
