Thick Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl with primary tone pulse
6704 Thick Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl with primary tone pulse
Very thick Manipuri Lingam with sharp extensive artwork including part of the central star. This clean and bright bowl has seen a lot of wear but the original deeply incuse etching still shows fine. Deeply oscillating primary tone with two solid highs playing above it. The bass has the power and takes front and center throughout the very good sustain. This one takes a bit of skill to get the rim going but once you co you’re rewarded with a nice bass with leather and the strong version of those subtle highs with the rough amaranth wand. A stunning example of the old ceremonial Manipuri lingams. With overtones at A#5, A6, F7.
